In 2019, Scanfil and Etteplan partnered to create a complete outsourcing solution for their customers. The target was to offer a turnkey product development service from specification to ready products. Initially, the cooperation had some high-level instructions and left a lot for each project to decide. This led to variations in working methods between one project and the next. To tackle these variances and to increase customer satisfaction Scanfil, and Etteplan performed a detailed Value Stream Mapping (VSM) of the entire process from specification to product manufacturing. The result of this work was a process description that lists the tasks for key project members for each phase.
